Nespresso Capsules – Where to Buy
Nespresso System Espresso Machines Tagged capsule system, capsules, coffee machines, NespressoIf you recently bought a Nespresso capsule system machine, or looking to buy one, you will need a supply of capsules from day 1 if you want to use the machine. Nespresso has great online service. All you have to do is register online and you can start ordering capsules online. It usually takes 2 days to arrive.

Nespresso Capsules Range
Nespresso Capsules – Online
Get them at the Nespresso website.
Nespresso Capsules – Stores
I am not certain about this, but I did read online that you can get the capsules at Selfridges & Co and at John Lewis.
Nespresso Capsules – Prices
Between 0.25 GBP and 0.29 GBP per capsule. Capsules are ordered in multiples of 50 for packing reasons.
A recent comment from one of our readers states that there’s a £4.95 postage charge on a purchase of Nespresso coffee capsules through the company website. So for an order of 50 capsules, you would pay 27 pence X 50 capsules plus £4.95 postage charge. This equals £18.45, which makes the nominal price per cup of coffee 36.9 pence. Thanks for that feedback Alan!

I just purchased a Nespresso Citiz from John Lewis.
At no point was I told that there is a £4.95 postage charge on your purchase of coffe capsules and the price has gone up to 27p per capsule minimum. So the cheapest order you will ever be able to place will be 27pence X 50 capsuals plus £4.95 = £18.45 by my reconing that makes each cup of coffee 36.9 pence.

Thanks for that comment Alan. I think this is important information for our readers, so I’ve added your note into the post.
Enjoy your espressos!

I am really angry as I also feel its unfair to purchase online and pay for postage. I usually buy my capsules from a shop in Mkt Harborough (Leicester) and they told me today that they are not allowed to stock them anymore. This is ridiculous and I am annoyed that a. Nespresso is taking business from a small independent retailer during a RECESSION and b. that they are not offering me choice. My current options are to waste time and money on a trip to Selfridges or pay the inflated prices directly to Nespresso. I will not be recommending these machines anymore as I believe that Nespresso are looking at short term profits and failed to recognise the importance of Customer Relationship Management.

You know Zak, that’s why there are other capsule system coffee machines for you to consider. Some, such as Caffitaly opened their technology to coffee manufacturers, that can then produce capsules, giving the option to a much wider variety of tastes. Of course, there are pros and cons to very system. If you want more information read our related post on Capsule Systems.
Cheers!

You have the world’s slowest website. Can’t you do something about that?
June 11th, 2010 at 12:19 pm
I’ll definitely look into it! Thanks for your feedback.

Your website is slow. Why the need for a password.
Postage charge is exhorbitant. Why can we not buy these capsules in the shops???

I’m looking into the slow issue.. Sorry about that.
About ordering capsules from the Nespresso website, you can also buy the capsules at Nespresso boutique stores, but anyways, that’s how Nespresso works… There are other capsule systems, that have coffee machines, and for those systems you can buy the capsules in stores. Nespresso is not the case.
Just to be clear, I am not connected to Nespresso in any commercial way, so I have no say in it

Selfridges London (Oxford Street) definitely sell all the capsules seperately…

i am using the citiz machine and its the best thing in my kitchen. i live in cork ireland and capsules can only be purchased in brown thomas stores or else online. nespresso want to keep an air of exclusivity about the brand, thats why their boutiques are associated with luxury stores. its just the way theyve chosen to market i suppose but it does mean that not everyone has access to the brand eg people living outside the city who dont have internet access.
